KURSK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY (KSMU)
Kursk State Medical University also known as Kursk State Medical Institute; KSMU; KurskGMU; KurskSMU; Kursk State Government Medical University. The university is listed in the WHO list of world medical schools and also in the International Medical education directory provided by FAIMER.
The staff body consists of 633 academic staff of which there are 333 Ph.D and 92 D.Sc academics serving our 6,400 students. The university boasts a well stocked library with a subscription of more than 500,000 journals, books and publications. The campus includes four teaching buildings as well as a five student halls of residence. Students also enjoy the recreational facilities onsite including three sports halls and a shooting range.

RECOGNITION
Russian higher medical education has gained a remarkable reputation in the world stage due to high educational standards with advanced and sophisticated teaching methods and scientific approaches. The degrees of Russian Medical Higher Educational Establishments are recognized by World Health Organization (W.H.O), International Red Cross and General Medical Council (G.M.C) of major European countries, including Great Britain and France. Leading Russian medical universities occupy prominent positions in the international rating by the UNESCO and World Health Organization, including Kursk State Medical University. KSMU also recognize by JPA Malaysia, MC Sri-Lanka and other countries.
The University extends its international cooperation, the teaching staff works on probation and takes part in international forums in many countries (Austria, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Canada, USA, Brazil, Israel, Greece, Sri-Lanka, Tunisia, the Maldivian Republic, Malaysia).
Grant policy is very active. Some teachers were awarded with grants for participation in native, international projects and programs and for working on probation abroad (also for participation in medical seminars in Salzburg, the international program of various grants), some teachers passed TOEFL.
The University cooperates with international organizations, funds, programs and foreign higher educational establishments.
KSMU demonstrates its achievements on international exhibitions, takes part in activity of international congresses. Foreign clinical attending physicians defend Ph.D. thesis in the University .
KSMU is recognized by foreign countries and participates in international educational programs. The administration of International Relations is responsible about the international students of KSMU since they admit until they graduates in all non-academic questions.
